Description This course aims to provide an overview of the international Criminal Law, main actors in the International Criminal Proceedings, elements of criminal proceedings, organization of the International Criminal Court as a sole organ to provide justice and its case law. In addition, this course will deal also with the types of criminal liability and its enforcement.
Objectives Having completed this class, participants should be able to understand criminal legal system, especially with a deep knowledge in international criminal law and its case law, challenges of the applicability in the 21st century and to gain an experience of the protection of the Human Rights in the Criminal Proceedings. In addition, students will be able to understand how the international criminal law has been applied in the case law as an instrument to provide justice.
